What can one say about the first appearance of the F.F. uniform? Always a great issue. Miracle Man was a weak sort of villain, but the first real appearance of theThing-human Torch feud made up for it.

…And a very nice cover that essentially rung in the super hero stage at Marvel.

Way before the Marvel Masterworks there were the oversize Marvel Tresury Editions. That's how I saw this story. I believe it was the second or third Treasury edition. My summers were filled with trying to duplicate the panels in the Kriby Fantastic Four or Spidey by Ditko. I do believe neither title was the same without their input.
Each Treasury Edition had classic stories from the sixties in them. It's a step back in time when I read them. I only wish that somehow that format could have survived. The only comic of hardcover comics you could get back then was 1974's Stan Lee's Origin's of Marvel Comics. Now at every Walden's and Border's you can't get enough comic paperbacks. If only they had them in the seventies ……I'd be broke!

This is a classic issue of the FF series. The best thing for me about this comic book is the Monster from Mars. I read this issue when I was a kid, and I just loved that creature! Too bad that he wasn't a real monster. Oh well, I still think that he's one of the best creatures featured in a Marvel comic book.
