Dear Editor,
The Kirby and Ayers team was a great one. The Dr. Doom and Sub-Mariner team was a great idea. They are both monarchs who have had issues with the world.
This story laid the ground work for Super Villain Team Up.
Take care,
Bob T.

I bought this issue in Fine condition for $15 in 1988. The guy wanted $75 bucks for it. I always shopped from this guy, he was really nice. I said “All I have is $15” he said “Pay me next time you see me.” I told him I would likely not remember and he said he wouldn't either and I walked off with it.

Great comic. The earlier FF comics by Stan/Kirby were the best. To think I had to pay $67 for the comic now!

I read this story for the first time in FF annual #3. And if I'm not mistaken it was the first time I saw Namor. It wasn't until I read MCIC #3, reprinting FF #4, that I saw where he came from and why he hated the human race so much. I still get a kick out of the Thing rolling up a 6 inch piece of steel into “a form acceptable for mailing”. Ya gotta love these early Marvels.
