Although Kirby drew the cover and Ditko inked it, the monsters face appears to be altered by someone else—sloppily covered up, I believe. What lurks underneath all that black ink, I wonder?

On WMD #9, it looks like someone redrew Bombu's face. It doesn't seem to match. And did they send Bombu to the sticks (Earth) because of his name? Get it? “Bombu sticks”?
