Gomdulla was unique in a way `cause he had three fingers and a thumb on his right hand and a regular left hand (with bandages of course). I wonder if he knew Mummex the king of the mumies ?

I`ve noticed that on several monsters drawn by Kirby, one hand will have three fingers and a thumb while the other hand will have four fingers and a thumb. I guess when your busy drawing who has time to do the counting ?

JIM#61 is another great issue of the early pre-superhero Marvel comic books. GOMDULLA, THE LIVING PHAROAH! The cover artwork really grabbed my attention as a kid, so I just had to buy this comic book. I always liked the stories featuring rampaging mummies, and Marvel had quite a few of them. GOMDULLA was my favorite, and then, of course, MUMMEX, KING OF THE MUMMIES, featured in TTA#8. I owned that comic book as a kid, too. During this era, you could tune in any late night TV horror show on the weekends, and see one of the many Universal mummy movies. My favorite TV horror show host, JEEPERS CREEPERS, 1962-63, in L.A., CA, never let me down, and if you watched the show every weekend, you were guaranteed to see one of those old mummy movies. The Marvel mummies were just as good as those Hollywood creatures, so I always bought the issues featuring the bandaged-wrapped menaces. I still own a copy of JIM#61, and one day, I'll get myself another copy of TTA#8, too. If you haven't read these comic books, do yourself a favor, and buy them!
