The classic Thor story is backed up by a Don Heck tale about a greedy man who visits the future and a Steve Ditko story about a space traveller who visits a forbidden planet. Heck will someday get the credit he deserves for clarity and simplicity which in this story rivals that of Alex Toth. Ditko's funkiness gave pizzazz to a sweet and unique yarn.

Heck was a master story teller right up there with Alex Toth and Ross Andru. No one could draw classier gals than Heck!
Outside of these great monster and sci-fi tales, some of Heck's best work was his 50's Atlas war comics (Navy Tales, Battle, etc). I would love to see those reprinted in a collection!

This is the key issue in the JIM series, featuring Thor, for me, as it introduced us to Loki, the god of evil. I never really liked the Thor stories pitting him against the Reds, but the Loki issues were classics! I was fascinated by this evil character as a kid, and I still think that he's the best villian of the Silver Age.
