Bruttu

History: A skinny, slight-of-build scientist with low self-esteem wanted to be like “Bruttu”, a character from a comic book. Later, back in the lab, the scientist stood before an “atomic machine”; while his thoughts drifted toward the orange-furred, ape-like Bruttu, he stumbled into the output rays of the machine. The scientist's thoughts became reality, and he was transformed into Bruttu. The giant creature was misunderstood as a threat to humanity, and he went on an unintentional rampage until he returned to his lab. Standing before the rays of the “atomic machine” again, the transformed scientist thought of his human self once more and returned to normal. Smashing the machine, the scientist presumably went on to live a normal life.

Height: 30 ft.
Demonstrated Powers: Bruttu had great strength; he was able to smash through stone walls and could lift a ferris wheel.
Bruttu retained his normal intelligence, but was unable to speak due to the physical change affecting his vocal cords.
Bruttu avoided being shot, which gives no accurate demonstration of his invulnerability.

Comment: Speculation - It is possible that the “atomic machine” utilized the same energies later found in the “Cosmic Cube”, a device created by the subversive group A.I.M. which could alter reality to the thoughts of its wielder.
