Darius Zamora
History: In Europe, Darius Zamora came from a Gypsy heritage and made himself wealthy in the aircraft industry. Zamora's business rival, Luther Krumhausen, wanted to eliminate Zamora. Learning that Zamora had a weak heart, Krumhausen came up with a plan. In his mansion, Krumhausen had carpenters build an exact duplicate of a room and its furnishings at ten times their original size. During a business merger meeting with Zamora, Krumhausen drugged Zamora and put him in the giant room. When Zamora awoke, he saw the giant room and thought that he had shrunk. Finding no escape, Zamora had a heart attack from the stress. Krumhausen appeared to reveal the truth of the situation. With his dying breath, Zamora called upon his ancestors to curse Krumhausen. As Krumhausen entered a normal-sized room, he found himself reduced to six inches in height and menaced by his own cat.
Height: 5 ft. 9 in.
Demonstrated Powers: Zamora demonstrated no powers until the time of his death, when he called upon his ancestors to curse his enemy. The curse reduced his enemy to six inches in height.
Comment: It is possible that Zamora, who came from a Gypsy heritage, may have some connection to Sazzik the Sorcerer, as Sazzik also came from a Gypsy heritage and was shown working a spell that could shrink his enemies.
Comment: The characters on the cover of this issue bear no resemblence to the characters in the story.
