Meet... the Monster!

Gor-Kill

History: A living cloud of sentient gas drifted from the cosmos and came down to Earth near a European village. The gas-being merged with the water of a lake, and thus the lake itself came to life. The creature of living liquid conducted several raids on the village (the villagers called the monster “Gor-Kill”, the name of a legendary water demon). Craving more power, Gor-Kill sought to merge himself with the ocean and increase his size. Gor-Kill's menace was ended when a lone villager used dynamite on him, which dispersed his liquid form.

Height: Variable
Demonstrated Powers: Gor-Kill was a creature composed of sentient lake waters. He could alter his size and shape, and his flowing form could hit with the force of a tidal wave.

Can A Comment Save the World?!?

I remember being fascinated by this cover at the newstand in Effingham, IL, when I was 6 (though my 25-cent allowance had to be reserved for super heroes). Staring at the cover, it dawned on me that the (then-nameless) Marvel formula was to create a giant monster out of a new substance or species each month — water, mud, stone, fire, smoke, ants, apes, lizards, etc. Which was fine with me.

One of my favorite of the Kirby monsters. I made sure to give him a shout out in the Marvel Monsters: From the Files of Ulysses Bloodstone book, mentioning an as-yet unseen encounter between him and Bloodstone.

Hmm! A sentient cloud of gas also took over the high-tech bulldozer that became “Trull the Unhuman,” in Africa. Members of the same species, on a pre-invasion recon, perhaps?

It woulda been HILARIOUS to see a 'fight' between good ol,GOR-KILL and DRAGOOM,imagine if stan had pitched that the same way goodman pitched the SUB-MARINER/TORCH battle,''battle of the comic century'',my ass!!! one whoosh and it woulda been over.

How could a cool looking light blue and white water monster that talks, attacks villages to eat pigs and livestock but not humans, and allows people to swim in him, not simply rule?
