Meet... the Monster!

Gruto

History: When his spaceship crash-landed on Earth, Gruto hit his head, thus leaving him with amnesia and no memory of his mission. The confused Gruto was discovered by a ruthless reporter who sought fame by writing a news-story on Gruto, claiming the alien to be a menace. It was not long before the world turned against Gruto; he was driven off Earth by an angry mob and his ship was fired upon. He later regained his memory: his home planet was a technological paradise and he was sent to share his people's wealth and knowlege with Earth. Finding Earthlings to be cruel barbarians, he left to find other more worthy worlds.

Gruto apparently returned to Earth and battled the Fantastic Four in an as yet unrecorded tale.

Height: 12 ft.
Demonstrated Powers: Although it can be assumed by Gruto's size that he had great strength, he demonstrated no feats of strength to guage a strength level. Gruto demonstrated no other special powers.

Weapons: Insect-like spaceship with the following defensive capabilities: could emit paralyzing waves to immobilize humans
dematerialize and project multiple images of itself
able to withstand the blast of hydrogen bomb warhead.

Can A Comment Save the World?!?

This was the most brilliant and galling of all Kirby monster stories. Sure, it's a variation on the “misunderstood monster coming in peace” formula, but the idea of the monster having amnesia was inspired!
