It Crawls By Night

History: In an effort to feed the starving people of the world, a farmer experimented with plants, breeding and cross-breeding them in countless types of soil, until he developed a new form of plant life. The plant was hardy enough to grow in any location, needed no water, was able to grow at a phenomenal speed, and grew fastest after sunset. The plant's out-of-control growth threatened to engulf the town. The farmer discovered a meteorite which contained an element that was fatal to the plant. Breaking off chunks of the meteorite, the farmer gave them to the townspeople. The townspeople attacked the giant plant, killing it by exposure to the meteor rocks.

Height: Constantly Increasing
Demonstrated Powers: The plant's growth gave it the strength to crush a bulldozer.

Comment: It is unknown if there is any connection between the plant and the H'ylthri - the sentient plant race living in the dimension of K'un-Lun (introduced in Iron Fist (vol. 1) # 2)
