The Martians

History: In the year 2306, Martians threatened to conquer Earth. An envoy was sent from Earth to Mars to demonstrate mankind's superiority. The envoy brought along a horse, an elephant, and a gorilla to demonstrate the strength of the animals. The envoy then made the animals perform tricks, showing that he was the master of the powerful animals. When the Martians saw how one small Earthman could command such mighty creatures, they changed their plans of invasion and began to discuss a peace treaty.

Height: 8 ft.
Demonstrated Powers: The Martians displayed great strength and technology.

Comment: These Martians are of a different species than other Martians recorded in this index.

Martian gravity being one-third that of Earth's, it stands to reason that a gorilla and an elephant might be three times stronger on Mars. But, I find it hard to believe that these particuliar “Martians” wouldn't recognize that fact! Let alone, that they were unfamiliar with the concept of “pet” animals. Definitely makes the debut/origin of Spragg the Living Hill look like a Nobel Prize-winner for Literature, by comparison.
