Meet... the Monster!

The Seeds of Doom

History: In the future, explorer Hank Garnett was assigned to explore Planet X-41. He was chased off by giant dinosaur-like lizards that inhabited the planet. As he ran back to his space ship, he grabbed a flower as a sample of vegetable life, climbed aboard his ship, and flew back to Earth. He planted the flower, and noticed that it needed a great amout of water. The flower produced a beautiful, exotic bloom and produced thousands of seeds. Garnett gave the seeds to a florist wholesaler who put the seeds on the market; people world-wide purchased the seeds. One day, Garnett saw his flower plant expanding to a huge size, until it formed itself into one of the giant lizards Garnett had encountered on Planet X-41; Garnett figured all life on X-41 came from plants. The giant creature had Garnett trapped in his apartment, but it collapsed because it had no water to quench its thirst (on Planet X-41, it rained every quarter-hour). All of the seeds were gathered up, and they, along with the unconscious lizard creature, were returned to Planet X-41.

Height: 20 ft. (fully matured)
Demonstrated Powers: The flower plant matured into a tyrannosaur-like lizard. The creature needed a constant supply of water, and produced seed offspring prior to its transformation from plant to lizard.

Comment: It is unknown if there is any connection between the plant seeds and the H'ylthri - the sentient plant race living in the dimension of K'un-Lun (introduced in Iron Fist (vol. 1) # 2)
