The Space Dragon

History: In the year 2088, an exploration team crashlanded their spaceship on a desolate planet and encountered a giant, dragon-like creature. The team members wanted to kill the monster before it became a problem to them, but the captain of the team refused to let them, as regulations stated they could not kill a creature that had not threatened them. As an argument ensued, the men looked up in the sky and saw an asteroid headed on a collision course with the planet. Their instruments indicated that the asteroid would collide with the planet before they could repair their spaceship. Thinking they were doomed, the men saw the dragon breathe a blast of fire at the asteroid which diverted its course. The men realized that if they had killed the dragon, they would have doomed themselves, and they learned that everything in the universe has a purpose.

Length: 80 ft. (head to tail)
Demonstrated Powers: The Space Dragon could breathe fire from its nostrils.

Comment: It is possible that the Space Dragon was a member of the dragon-like Makluan race (see Fin Fang Foom) that was stranded on the planet.
