The Thing From The Hidden Swamp

History: The unnamed alien was on an interplanetary voyage in his own galaxy when his space ship was caught in a space/time warp. He landed on Earth in a swamp somewhere in the Caribbean islands, but his ship was trapped in a bog. The alien was discovered by a lonely, plain-looking woman who was on vacation exploring the swamp. The alien communicated with her and got her to help him. The woman activated the ship's engine controls while the alien was outside using his physical strength to wrest the ship free. Their combined efforts freed the ship. Before he departed, the alien rewarded the woman for helping him by transforming her plain features into a beautiful face.

Height: 15 ft.
Demonstrated Powers: The alien had great strength and was able to physically move his space ship. He could communicate telepathically, and was able to transform a plain-looking woman's facial features, making her beautiful.

Equipment: Space ship

Comment: This story is basically the same plot as the The Creature from the Black Bog from Tales of Suspense # 23 (art by Steve Ditko) (in modern times, this story was redone in Chamber of Darkness # 5 as The Beast From The Bog, art by Paul Reinman).
