Meet... the Monster!

Zzutak

History: When the Spanish Conquistadors invaded Mexico and conquered the Aztec empire, one tribe of Aztecs escaped to a remote valley and spent centuries developing enchanted paints; a picture painted from these enchanted paints would come to material life. In present times, the lost tribe gave the paints to Frank Johnson, a comic book artist (best known for his creations of The Mad Martian, Glob, and The Lizard Bird). Johnson went to Mexico, and in an Aztec temple, he painted a picture of Zzutak on a giant canvas. The painting came to life, and an Aztec shaman instructed Johnson to paint an army of Zzutaks so he could establish a new Aztec empire. Johnson painted another monster, chanting to it that is was Zzutak's enemy as he painted. The other monster came to life and began to battle Zzutak. Both fought and were buried by the demolished temple as they battled.

In modern times, Frank Johnson returned to open “The Museum of the Monstrous and Strange”, where he displayed the remains of Rorgg, Grottu, The Blip, and The Two-Headed Thing. The four monsters were revived to fight the Fantastic Four, but were defeated. Johnson also used the last of the enchanted paints to create a duplicate of The Molten Man-Thing as a publicity stunt.

In the same story, Zzutak returned to fight aganist the Fantastic Four; Zzutak's enemy also returned, and both monsters fought and were buried once more when the ground beneath them collapsed from the force of the fight.

Height: 12 ft.

Demonstrated Powers: Zzutak had great strength and could lift giant boulders. Zzutak had no mind of its own and had to be commanded.

Comment: It is unknown if there is any connection between the paint that created Zzutak, the “paint” that created the Glob in Journey Into Mystery # 72, or the paint used by The Painter of a Thousand Perils, the Human Torch villain from Strange Tales # 108.

Can A Comment Save the World?!?

no,i dont think that johnsons paints were any connection to the paint that brought the GLOB to life, since it(the glob)was an inert alien waiting to come back to life, but since i havent read the ZZUTAK story(i have read ''GLOB'',though.)maybe im wrong, still it would be cool if those paints,or even ZZUTAK himself would make a comeback as part of some mad/artist villain scheme, like THE PAINTER OF A THOUSAND PERILSor the golden age CAPTAIN AMERICA villain THE BLACK TALONor ,it would be even scarier if the paints landed in the hands of the most EVIL,mad''artist''of all time………..(dum,dum,da,dum!!!!)……..J.MICHAEL STRACZYNSKI!!!!!YAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!…….(it gives me chills just to type it.)

STRANGE TALES#106,has a story called ''MAN ON THE SCAFFOLD'' about magic paints, however;they do not actually bring things to life they just hypnotize,so technically it's a story about paint sniffing, but still it could be a weakened version of the paint .
