There is no entry for Strange Tales #56 (1957) so I will include it here.
Q: “Metal Master”, is he a prototype for some other super-hero or super-villain?
............. Michael I Gonzalez :: 04 March 2006
A: from what I can see of the cover from www.comics.org , the “Metal Master” appears to be a robot (in which case you can say maybe he could be considered a prototype for Ultron) or else a guy in armor (in which case he might be considered a prototype for Iron Man)—but not having that issue on hand, your guess is as good as mine
............. John Kaminski :: 04 March 2006
He sounds more like a prototype for the Incredible Hulk villain of the same name. That version is a space alien with telekinetic control over most Earth-made metals.
............. Carycomic :: 07 April 2006
You have the first cover appearance of the latter as INCREDIBLE HULK (v. I) #6.
