Looks like this Ditko cover was inspired by the hardware in Wally Wood's space illustrations.
I wish there was someone who could publish all of these books on CD Rom. They are a treat to look at and I can't believe that all of them will be forgotten. Looking at Steve's earlier work I can see the the spark of life that was in his work that eventually left after his work on Spider-Man. I noticed that after his seventies Charlton work any of his super hero work for Marvel wasn't nearly as good as his early work.
