Dear Editor,
I enjoyed this story when it was reprinted. The idea of the giant insects and the regular man was great. The janitor who swept up at the end was a nice twist.
Take Care,

BTW, look at page 4, panels 2-5. It appears that the criminal was holding a knife in his hand that was editied out by the comics code.

I agree. The Klugari figurine (4th from the lower left) on the splash page is holding a knife in his hand; but this is also edited from the figurine in the very last panel of the story. On page 4, the way his arm is raised, the way his hand is held, makes it obvious that he was holding a dagger in a downward position. I'm referring here to the story “Beware…the Ticking Clocks!”—see the King Linus entry on this site. Stan Lee, in his autobiography Excelsior!, p.96, also describes an incident in which the Comics Code office determined that a puff of gunsmoke discharging from a pistol in a Kid Colt story was too large—hence too violent!—and Stan had to have it redrawn to a smaller size. So, this kind of thing did indeed happen.
