Could this story be the inspiration behind the character of the Wasp? Exausting the names in the animal kingdom, Marvel had to make a female the Wasp. I remember Henry Pym was Giant Man and his gal was the Wasp…talk about opposites attracting!

It might have influenced the creation of the Wasp. Too bad they didn't have the nerve to go with the logical name for a woman with bee powers. B-Girl.
But there might be a reason for that, given the meaning of B-Girl in that era…
