The purple on the background of the cover is nice. The ants-eye-view shots are interesting and envolving. Other than that I can't believe that the same person who wrote the Fantastic Four and Spiderman gave us this piece of garbage. Why anyone would spend their 12 cents on this when they could have been buying any one of dozens of other exciting comics is beyond me.

Ron,
These stories were not written by Stan Lee. They were plotted by him, but the scripting was by Larry Leiber and later Robert Bernstein.

I remember this issue of TTA very well, as I had nightmares of the villian, Egghead when I was a kid. He wasn't a giant monster or a sci-fi creature, but he still gave me the creeps! I'm glad that one of my heroes, Ant-Man, defeated him in one of the best issues of the series. But, my favorite TTA villian will always be The Scarlet Beetle from issue #39.

The Scarlet Beetle is my favorite as well, Tom. Keep up the first hand comments on these books that you picked up on the stands. It gives us a glimpse of the effect these stories had.
